While Wi-Fi is available, we highly recommend using a hardline. Wireless transmission is an unreliable medium for high-volume data transmission and can very quickly lead to video quality issues if you are not prepared to manage your wireless network.
You can configure the Wi-Fi on Spark through the Dashboard or the Broadcaster app from the Apple app store. Unfortunately, the app is not available in Android app stores at the moment. If you don't have an Apple device, you'll choose to configure Wi-Fi through the Dashboard instead.
Configure Wi-Fi through the Broadcaster app
Open the Broadcaster app and sign into your BoxCast account.
Click on Sources at the bottom, then click on your Spark encoder.
Click on Configure Wi-Fi.
Select the Wi-Fi network you'd like to use for your encoder.
The Spark will connect to the strongest network (as measured by network strength). So it is a good idea to uncheck the Auto Connect to Open Networks button. This will prevent the box from pulling a guest network that has a stronger connection than your configured private network.
Configure Wi-Fi through the BoxCast Dashboard
Make sure your Spark is powered on and connected via Ethernet cable. Inside the Dashboard, go to Sources.
Find your encoder, then click Configure Wi-Fi.
Once the Spark has retrieved available wireless signals, you can connect to your chosen wireless network. Be aware that we can only connect to a network that utilizes WEP / WEP2 (no enterprise-level splash pages).
