If you are encountering difficulty with your audio mixer connecting to BoxCast RemoteMix, consider the following.
Mixer and App Computer Troubleshooting
Check for a Static IP
Most connection drops happen because the mixer is using a dynamic IP address that changes unexpectedly. Switching to a static IP ensures the software always knows exactly where to find your hardware.
Clear Out "Network Weirdness"
Local network interference can cause erratic behavior. If things feel "glitchy," try disabling any active firewalls temporarily to see if they are blocking the handshake between your devices.
Update Your Software & Hardware
Make sure you’re running on a device with a compatible OS, and using a supported browser like Chrome. It’s also critical to confirm that your BoxCast RemoteMix app is up to date and that your mixer is running a compatible firmware version.
Manage Active Connections
Sometimes the mixer thinks it's "full" because of perceived active connections that aren't actually humans using the board. If you're being locked out, you may need to clear those ghost connections to make room for your session.
Spark-Specific Troubleshooting
Stick to One Network Connection
If your Spark isn't seeing the mixer, confirm the encoder isn't trying to talk between a network through its Ethernet connection and at the same time a Wi-Fi connection.
