Outputting from Switcher Studio to BoxCast as a custom RTMP
Creating BoxCast as a custom RTMP is the recommended manner in which to send your feed from Switcher Studio to BoxCast. Switcher Studio outlines how to stream in this article. Once step 6 is reached, step through the following.
RTMP Source: An RTMP source must exist in the BoxCast Dashboard. To learn how to add an RTMP source, click here. If you already have an RTMP source, follow the remaining steps.
Server URL: BoxCast's server URL is rtmp://rtmp.boxcast.com/live. Use the Copy to Clipboard button to precisely copy the Server URL, and then paste the Server URL in Switcher Studio.
Stream Key: Each RTMP source created in the BoxCast Dashboard has its own unique Stream Key. Use the Copy to Clipboard button to precisely copy the Stream Key, and then paste the Stream key/ID in Switcher Studio.
When Switcher Studio is actively live (see step 8 here), it will show as Connected in the BoxCast Dashboard.
Note: A broadcast must be scheduled through the BoxCast Dashboard in order to live stream the feed BoxCast is receiving from Switcher Studio.
