While BoxCast has their own streaming protocol (BoxCast Flow), we also allow you the option to stream via RTMP from the encoder of your choice. We'll provide you with an RTMP address and a unique stream key.
This article will teach you how to set up new RTMP sources and generate a stream name for your encoder. If you'd like instructions on how to set up a specific encoder, we have a lot of guides.
Now, let's get started. Click on the Sources tab.
Click on Add a Source.
Search for your encoder. If you do not see it, click on the generic RTMP option.
Once added, you will now be able to get your RTMP URL, Server URL, and Stream Key. You won't need all three. Depending on the encoder, you'll need the Server URL and Stream Key, or the RTMP URL (which includes the stream key at the end of the address).
After you've copied the RTMP address and stream key into your encoder, you should be ready to go. BoxCast does not require a stream username and password.
Common Questions
How many RTMP sources can I create?

Does my RTMP source change?
No. Your RTMP source will not change unless you click Regenerate Stream Key.
