Increase engagement and excitement with the Broadcast Countdown Widget. Keep visitors informed and build interest by letting them know when your next live stream will happen.

Note: This widget is designed to work only with the BoxCast Streaming service. If you'd like a timer for things other than BoxCast Streaming Broadcasts, you can use this Countdown Widget instead.

To add the widget:

Before you add the Broadcast Countdown widget, please make sure you have at least one upcoming broadcast scheduled in the BoxCast Streaming Dashboard. This widget is designed only to show when you have an upcoming broadcast, so you need to schedule one to be able to add the widget.

In the left panel, click Widgets. Click and drag the Broadcast Countdown widget into your site.

To learn more about adding widgets to your site, see Add Widgets.

Setting up Broadcast Countdown Widget

You can filter by All Broadcasts or a Channel ID or Link.

If you choose Channel ID or link, you'll need to pull that from your Streaming Dashboard. We recommend opening the Streaming Dashboard in another window or grabbing that link before adding the widget and keeping it handy.

In the Streaming Dashboard, you go to Embed, then Channel, then choose the channel, and you can grab the link there. Click Copy Embed Code and copy the channel link into the Broadcast Countdown widget.

Under the Design tab, you can change all sorts of things about how your timer looks. There are different layouts, you can change all of the fonts and colors, and there's even a way to animate it.

That's all there is to it! Remember that this widget will only show on your website if you have a broadcast scheduled. Otherwise, there may be placeholder text that's shown in your preview on the back end of the website but won't show for your website visitors.
