BoxCast Sites has its own widget that allows you to collect donations for your church directly from your website.

Add the Donate Widget to your Site

To add the donate widget, go to Widgets in the Sites Dashboard, and search or scroll down to the Business section to find it.

Drag and drop the widget anywhere in your site.

In the Content section, you can choose whether to put the donation form inline (in the actual page of your website) or in a pop-up. You can also change the language on the button to say whatever you like.

Under the Design tab, you can change all kinds of elements, such as font type, color and size, and spacing, to make sure the style matches your branding.

Changing Email Address for Donation Alerts

If you'd like to be alerted when someone makes a donation, go to the BoxCast Streaming Dashboard, Settings, and then the Preferences tab. You'll see a section that says Ticketing and Donations.

Click on Edit, and fill out the information to enable donations. You also can choose to show a Donation button below your videos when they are embedded on other websites and on boxcast.tv links. Learn more about that here.

Donation Widget FAQs

What are the processing fees?

The fees are 6%. There is an option for the donator to check that will allow them to cover the fees for your organization.

How do I get paid?

Payments are sent out quarterly to the address we have on file.

Can I use another service with BoxCast's donation widget?

Our Donation widget is designed to work only with BoxCast's giving service, but you can use any giving service with Sites. Most have instructions on how to embed their donation forms onto your website. If you need assistance on how to embed a third-party giving or donation service on Sites, feel free to reach out to our support team!

What happened to the donate button in the player?

If you'd like information on how to set up a donate button in the player for non-Sites websites or BoxCast.tv links, we have instructions for that in this article.

If you are using Sites, we recommend using the Donate Widget in lieu of this button. We disabled the Donate button in the BoxCast Video Player Widget because we wanted to offer more flexibility for Sites users. You have many more options with the Donate Widget + Video Player than with the usual donate button and an embed alone.
