BoxCast and Osprey Video have a direct integration that allows you to stream from a Talon 4K-SC or Talon UHD-SC directly to BoxCast.

You will need access to our API keys to set this up. If you don't see those in the settings of your account, book a meeting with your customer success manager, email us, or upgrade in the self-checkout to the Experience plan.

Follow the steps below to set up the integration.

Start by creating the the Talon as a source in the BoxCast Dashboard. You can do this by going to sources and clicking Add Source. Make sure you add an RTMP Source and name it after your Osprey Video device.

Power the device on and plug it into the internet. Once you do that, you will see the IP address on the front of the screen. If your video source is ready, you should plug that in as well.

Type that IP Address into an internet browser to log into the Talon Core dashboard with your username and password. This information can be found in your Osprey user guide. It's set to a default until you personalize it.

Now that you are logged in, click on Channels in the navbar, and select BoxCast as your Protocol.

Next, you will need to log into the BoxCast Dashboard to create your API Keys to enter into the Osprey Talon 4k. Go to Settings, API Keys, click Create API Key.

Make sure you select the toggle option to allow owner access to all areas of the account.

Create the Client ID and Client Secret, and copy them into the into the appropriate fields.

Once added, click Login to BoxCast.

Now you will select the Talon Encoder source that you created earlier in the BoxCast Dashboard.

To start the stream, make sure you have a broadcast scheduled in the BoxCast Dashboard, and click Start on the left hand side of the screen.

Once started, you will see that your source is connected in the dashboard.

You will also notice that the encoder now has one red status light and says started on the device.

Once you get to the start time of your broadcast, the stream will automatically begin.
