Understanding Broadcaster App Privacy Preferences

Here at BoxCast, we strive to provide you and your viewers an incredible broadcasting experience, which is why we take your privacy and security very seriously. We have incorporated Apple's Data Tracking and Collection protection and implemented their App Tracking and Transparency framework which allows you to gain more control over your personal data. The following demonstration will cover Enabling and Disabling Data Tracking through the Broadcaster application.

Once you install the app and open it for the first time, you will see a pop-up that says “Allow ‘Broadcaster’ to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites?”

You have the option to select either “Ask App Not to Track” or “Allow”

If you select “Allow”, this will help us collect data to improve our app over time and protect you from any security risks that may potentially occur. To learn more about this, read the Use of Information section from our Privacy Policy.

If you select “Ask App Not to Track”, some features may be limited or disabled altogether which may not provide the best possible user experience as it was intended.

Enabling tracking for the Broadcaster App

When Data Collection and Tracking are enabled, all of the Broadcaster's App's features and capabilities are accessible already enabled. However, if you have selected clicked “Ask App Not to Track” or turned it off at one point. Follow the steps below to turn it back on.

If at any point you select “Ask App Not to Track” but want to turn it back on, follow these steps.

Open up the settings app on your iPhone and click on the privacy section.

Click on Tracking.

Make sure the toggle switch is green and tracking will be enabled.

If tracking is disabled, you may be prompted with this pop-up. When you click Settings,it will take you to the tracking page for Broadcaster where you may choose to enable it.

Disabling tracking for the Broadcaster App

If you selected “Allow” in response to the tracking message that popped up when you first downloaded the app, but now you would like to disable that setting, follow the steps below.

Open up the settings app on your iPhone and click on the privacy section.

Click on Tracking.

Make sure the toggle switch is gray and tracking will be disabled.
