Step 5

Select the settings you wish to stream with. You will want to fill out the following. Once you are done, click submit.

  • Destination Name = Broadcast Title

  • Video Description = Description

  • Profile = Resolution and Framerate you wish to stream at

  • Source = Your RTMP source from the BoxCast Dashboard (You should have named this LiveU Solo in step 1)

Step 6
This will create a broadcast inside your BoxCast Dashboard. We recommend using this as a test broadcast to get everything set up. Once you see that test broadcast in your dashboard, click the Go Live button in the LiveU solo Dashboard.

* This first test with the LiveU solo will take a couple of minutes to go live. Future broadcasts will start on time.

Step 7
Once the test is live, you will see the status box in LiveU is getting data and says it's streaming. In the BoxCast Dashboard, you will want to click on the test and you will notice that your RTMP Source has a green dot next to it. That means we are getting data from the LiveU Solo.

Step 8
Once that first broadcast is scheduled and working with the LiveU Solo you will want to STOP the broadcast in the BoxCast dashboard and on the LiveU Solo Dashboard.

Step 9

Moving forward, you will want to follow this workflow below to make sure the LiveU Solo connects your BoxCast Broadcasts.

  • Schedule a broadcast in the BoxCast dashboard and select the RTMP channel you named LiveU Solo.

  • 10 - 15 minutes before that broadcast starts, you will want to hit Go Live in the LiveU Solo Dashboard. The LiveU Solo will begin sending data to BoxCast so your broadcast can go live at the scheduled time.

  • Anything streamed before the start time will NOT be seen by viewers. Viewers will start to see the broadcast at the scheduled start time.
Example: If you have a broadcast scheduled to start at 10:00 AM. Click Go Live in the LiveU Solo Dashboard at 9:45 AM and the broadcast will begin exactly at 10:00 AM.
