Before you get started, check out our recommended settings for any videos you'd like to upload:

  • Format: MP4 or MOV

  • Size limit: 50 GBs

  • Quality: 1080p at 7 Mbps

  • Video Codec: H.264 (AVC) or H.265 (HEVC), High Profile, Progressive scan (no interlacing)

  • Keyframe Interval: One keyframe at least every 2–10s

  • Audio Codec: AAC, 44.1khz or 48khz

Click on the Media Uploads tab.

Click on Upload Broadcast

Drag and drop your video in the box provided or browse your computer files to upload the file. If you receive an error message, please follow the recommend upload settings to make sure the video format is correct.

Provide a broadcast name, select a time and date, and then click the Upload button to initiate the upload process. Moving between your dashboard and other browser tabs is permitted, but DO NOT close the upload window or allow your device to sleep, as this will terminate the upload. This first upload step must be completed before the file moves on to transcoding.

Once the file is successfully uploaded, the broadcast will take some time to transcode. The larger the file, the longer it will take. You are free to log out of your dashboard or close the window at this stage. You can even select Email me when completed to receive an email when your file is fully transcoded and ready.

When it is done, it will appear in your past broadcasts on the time and date you selected.

Remember that uploading broadcast media will still fall within your account and service plans Storage Policy. If you are unsure about what policy you have, please check the Settings, Storage area of your dashboard. Also, read about storage policies and billing here: Understanding Your Storage Bills.

FAQs

The video says "Video has not finished uploading." in my past broadcasts. How long do I need to wait?
If you see this message on the video in your past broadcasts you will need to restart the upload. This means that the upload did not finish correctly.

It's taking my video a really long time to upload... should I restart? Is it broken?
If your video is taking a long time to upload you will want to try a couple of things.

First, try plugging in the device doing the upload to an ethernet port on your modem. The speed of the upload is based on your internet connection so if you have a slower connection, it will take a longer time to upload.

Second, try another device or try again. If the upload doesn't seem to be moving from a certain percentage, it could have failed if your computer went to sleep or closed the browser while uploading, try again or try on another device to see if it goes a bit faster.

Lastly, check your internet speeds by running a speed test. If you have upload speeds slower than 5 mbps, it could take some time if the file is really big. We would recommend trying another location if your speeds are below 1 Mbps upload as well.
