Behringer X-Touch Not Connecting with BoxCast RemoteMix

Written by Mindy Worley

Verify Mackie Control Mode

The Behringer X-Touch needs to be in Mackie Control mode to communicate properly with the system. Double-check your hardware settings to make sure it hasn't defaulted to a different protocol.

Check for Software Conflicts

MIDI devices don't like to share. Make certain your X-Touch isn't connected to or "captured" by any other programs before you try connecting it to BoxCast RemoteMix.

Enable Browser MIDI Permissions

Since BoxCast RemoteMix runs in your browser, you must explicitly allow the browser to talk with it. Check your browser settings to ensure MIDI permissions are enabled for the site.

Keep Firmware & Hardware Compatible

Make certain your X-Touch firmware is fully up to date. You will also want to confirm that the device running the BoxCast RemoteMix app is current on with software updates.

Confirm Account Status

This is a simple check but easy to overlook. Make certain you have an active paid subscription or a current trial of BoxCast RemoteMix. Some hardware integration features require an active account status to initialize.
