Granting Computer Permissions for the BoxCast RemoteMix App

Ensure the BoxCast RemoteMix app is permitted access to your computer's microphone and camera.

Using the BoxCast RemoteMix app requires specific permissions be enabled on your computer. The following instructions will guide you in granting these permissions whether on a Mac or a PC.

Mac Microphone and Camera Access

Upon downloading and opening the BoxCast RemoteMix app, you will be prompted to enable your device's microphone and camera. You must allow access by the software agent. The following steps will serve in verifying or enabling permission.

1. Go to your computer's System Settings and click Privacy & Security.

2. Go to Microphone and Camera, turning on BoxCast RemoteMix in each.

3. Relaunch your BoxCast RemoteMix app if you had to enable access. You should be able to select the proper audio and video inputs in the software agent.


PC Camera and Microphone Access

Your camera and microphone are likely already enabled to allow apps access. Upon downloading and opening the BoxCast RemoteMix app, however, the following steps will serve in verifying or enabling the BoxCast RemoteMix app permission as needed.

1. Go to your computer's Settings > Privacy > Camera and and ensure Allow apps to access your camera is on.

2. Go to your computer's Settings > Privacy > Microphone and and ensure Allow apps to access your microphone is on.

3. Relaunch your BoxCast RemoteMix app if you had to enable access. You should now be able to select the proper audio and video inputs in the app.
