Using a control surface like Behringer's X-Touch provides a more streamlined approach to mixing with BoxCast RemoteMix. Offering tactile feedback in the mixing experience while also allowing you to keep eyes on the event, the X-Touch assists with making adjustments in a more intuitive way and much faster than with a mouse or trackpad.

BoxCast RemoteMix only supports the following X-Touch models. The X-Touch Mini and X-Touch One are currently NOT supported.

Connect your X-Touch device to the computer you will be mixing from. BoxCast RemoteMix remembers previously used devices and will connect automatically.

From the USB MIDI connection on the rear of your X-Touch, connect via USB cable to your computer running the BoxCast RemoteMix app.

Upon entering the BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard, a pop-up will appear and prompt you to choose whether or not to enable Mixing Station Web for X-Touch access.

Click the Enable Access button.

Click either Allow while visiting the site or Allow this time.

Locate the X-Touch from the list of control surface options. Click the Connect button to connect your X-Touch with BoxCast RemoteMix.

Toggle on Follow Mode to keep the BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard and the X-Touch device visually in sync. As an example, if you navigate to Aux 1-8 on the RemoteMix user interface, then the X-Touch will begin controlling Aux 1-8.

Toggle off Follow Mode to navigate the X-Touch and BoxCast RemoteMix independent of one another.

Toggling on Follow Mode from the off state will result in the X-Touch device updating to follow your current state in the BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard.

Type options allow you to determine which of the following your X-Touch's faders are controlling.

Layer options will vary slightly from mixer to mixer, but allows you to determine which layer of your mixer the faders are controlling.

Select from the dropdown whether your X-Touch's knobs control Pan or Gain.

Control mapping for each compatible device is slightly different because each control surface has a varying number of faders, buttons and knobs. You are given a control mapping diagram for each device you connect, where you can see which controls are static and what maps back to what on your device.

We highly recommend using Chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge) with BoxCast RemoteMix and X-Touch devices.

Make sure you are not running other apps that use the device (like an instance of Mixing Station or a DAW, for example). If another app was using the device and then closed without releasing the MIDI port, BoxCast RemoteMix will not display it. Try a hard refresh of the RemoteMix dashboard.

We do not recommend activating BoxCast RemoteMix in multiple browser tabs or windows. Doing so tends to spike CPU usage and significantly degrades your user experience.
