Better experience BoxCast RemoteMix using the Google Chrome browser
BoxCast RemoteMix allows you to connect your event's on-site digital audio mixer to the cloud so you can control that mixer in the cloud from an off-site location. There are two ways to connect with BoxCast RemoteMix.
Connect with the BoxCast RemoteMix app. This article will step you through setting up your BoxCast RemoteMix connection through the BoxCast RemoteMix app.

There are a variety of digital audio mixers to connect with, so click on the brands below to view which models are compatible with BoxCast RemoteMix.
Know Your Role
Your BoxCast account user role must be set to Owner or Standard User in order to create a connection between your mixer and BoxCast RemoteMix. Go to your account's Settings page to verify your current role.
An Owner user may manage other users' roles as needed from the Users page. If you are uncertain who your account's Owner is, please don't hesitate to contact questions@boxcast.com.
Connect to BoxCast RemoteMix with the App
The BoxCast RemoteMix app is a powerful tool that allows you to connect your digital audio mixer to the BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard. Once installed and set up, the app will run quietly in the background on your computer. Here's how to set it up.
1. Confirm both your mixer and computer are connected to the same subnetwork. Refer to your mixer's manual if needing to know how to check this or configure.
2. Physically connect your video and audio sources to the computer you intend to use for runnning the BoxCast RemoteMix app. This will enable you to preview both audio and video from the device you use for mixing remotely. Some examples of a capture card or a device such as the ATEM Mini.
For VIDEO preview - There are several options, but a example might be something like the Elgato 4K X USB Capture Card or ATEM Mini Pro.
For AUDIO preview - Like video, there are several options. You might take the USB output of your mixer straight into the computer. Other examples include the Senal XU-1648 XLR-USB Interface or the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB-C Audio Interface. Dante networks are popular as well. There are seemingly endless options!
3. Download the BoxCast RemoteMix app onto your computer. You can find the link in your BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard when you log in, or by clicking on this link. If you aren't certain what kind of Mac computer you have, Check If Your Mac Has an M-series or Intel Chip.
4. Open the BoxCast RemoteMix app once downloaded, name it, select your audio and video inputs sources. Click Authorize Access. This will redirect you to the BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard.
5. Once authorized (and you may need to log back into your account), be sure to click back into the BoxCast RemoteMix app and simply confirm the process appears complete.
6. In your BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard, Create Connection. Select your BoxCast RemoteMix app, Mixer Brand, and finally your mixer Model before clicking Search Network.
If your mixer's IP doesn't appear right away, you can manually connect via your mixer’s IP address.
7. The BoxCast RemoteMix app will search your network to connect the two devices. Once it finds your network, select it and click Connect.
8. Name your connection and choose whether you'd like to create a PIN for added security. Choose a sensible name as this connection will be saved and will be visible to other users with access to your BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard, particularly if you plan to set up multiple connections.

Enable and create a PIN for added security, which limits access to a connection for only users who know the PIN.
Select between either selection Mode.
Stream Dedicated Mixer (All Access): This allows access to all mix targets (mains, buses/auxes, and matrix mixes) and is usually the best option if you have a separate mixer dedicated to your live stream.
Shared Mixer (Restricted): This allows you to select one mix target (main, bus/aux, or matrix) for the user to mix. This is usually the best option if you are using the same mixer to mix both your in house audio and your live stream. If you choose this option, then you'll select which mix target you'd like to allow access to in the dropdown menu that appears below.

Click the Create Connection button.
9. Click the Connect button to mix from anywhere!

With BoxCast RemoteMix, no download is required on the device you use to remotely control your mixer. The BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard is entirely browser-based, so simply log in to your dashboard to begin!
