Publishing Your Roku App with BoxCast OTT
In this guide, you'll learn about the specific image assets, Roku Channel Store information, channel name and description, channel profile, and administrative technical contacts required to launch your Roku TV app with BoxCast OTT.
If you would like to add a Roku app to your BoxCast account, please contact your client manager at success@boxcast.com. Once confirmed that this feature is included in your plan, you will receive a form to complete your Roku details page.
Image Assets
We recommend working with your marketing team or a designer to create the required image assets. If you are a smaller team, tools like Canva can help you generate correctly sized graphics for Roku.
Required Image Assets
App Icon – This will be the icon for your Roku app, appearing both in the Roku Channel Store and on users' home screens.

Splash Screen – A full-screen image displayed when a user opens your app while the content is loading.

Roku Channel Store Information
To publish your app, Roku requires specific details about your channel, including:
Countries – List one or more countries where your channel will be available. Make sure you have distribution rights.
Domestic Region – Specify the primary country where your channel is considered native.
Default Language – Indicate the language(s) for your localized content.
Kids Content – If your channel is designed for children, select Yes and comply with applicable privacy laws.
Category – Choose the appropriate category for your channel in the Roku Channel Store.
Age Rating – Select the appropriate age rating:
All Ages
Content Rated – Parental Guidance Advised
Content Not Rated – Parental Guidance Advised
Adult – Not Appropriate for Audiences 17 or Younger
Channel Name and Description
For each selected language, provide:
Channel Name – The name of your channel as it appears in the store.
Short Description (On-Device) – A brief summary shown on Roku devices (max 300 characters).
Long Description (Online) – A detailed description displayed on Roku’s website (max 1500 characters).
Channel Profile
Specify the following details:
Channel Type – Select the type of channel you are creating.
Privacy Policy URL – Provide a link to your privacy policy.
Terms of Use URL – Provide a link to your terms and conditions.
Support Contact – Provide a URL, email, and phone number for customer support.
Learn More URL – A link where users can learn more about your channel.
Administrative & Technical Contacts
Provide the names, email addresses, and phone numbers (including country codes) for your administrative and technical leads. Roku may use this information internally if they need to contact you regarding your channel.
