✅ Digital Audio Mixer

✅ Computer or Spark
Remotely controlling a digital audio mixer from an off-site location requires a way of getting the mixer connected to the cloud. You can do this in two ways.
A compatible Mac or PC for connecting to BoxCast RemoteMix with the app. This device remains on site and connected with the mixer from a shared internet connection. Additionally, you will need a way to input your desired audio and video feeds into the computer running the app. While audio capture is vital, the video capture is nice to have for low-latency video preview while mixing.
For video preview, you might use something similar to this Elgato HD60 X USB Capture Card.
For audio preview, you may be able to take the USB output of your mixer straight into the computer. However, there are other devices you might consider for routing your mixer's analog outputs to the computer - devices like the Senal XU-1648 XLR-USB Interface or the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB-C Audio Interface. Dante networks are popular as well. There are seemingly endless options!
A BoxCast Spark encoder for connecting to BoxCast RemoteMix with the Spark. The Spark remains on site and connected with the mixer from a shared internet connection.
For video preview, depending which version of Spark you have, you would use the HDMI or SDI input.
For audio preview, the Spark features two quarter-inch balanced inputs, as well as a 3.5mm unbalanced stereo input.
✅ Remote Mixing Device
With BoxCast RemoteMix, no download is required on the device you use to remotely control your connected mixer. The BoxCast RemoteMix dashboard is entirely browser-based, so simply log in to your dashboard to begin! However, you will want to review the minimum device requirements for running BoxCast RemoteMix.
Better experience BoxCast RemoteMix using the Google Chrome browser. Other browsers may not work as expected.
