If you are a customer on any of our Public plans (fully free video to viewers) you can stream your broadcast to any destination using the "Other RTMP" destination.

Step 1

Schedule a broadcast in the BoxCast Dashboard

Step 2

Go to Settings - Integrations

  • Click Add Integration

  • Click RTMP Integration

  • Name it something specific to the Destination (e.g. Facebook RTMP) so that you can identify the proper Destination when you are scheduling.

Step 3
Copy the Server URL and Stream Key from your destination into the Server URL and Stream Key field in the Integration window. See below Step 6 for examples of where to find your Server URL and Stream Key on some popular social sites.

Step 5

Schedule your Broadcast in the Dashboard and choose the created RTMP output from the Destinations menu.

Step 6

Note: You will need to go to that destination and schedule a broadcast with the proper information. With RTMP we cannot automatically schedule or start a stream on that third party service so that will have to be done within that service's platform.

Be aware that you have to start the video in Facebook by clicking the Go Live button at the designated start time. Facebook will not push your video live until you do that.

The Stream Key and URL are in different locations on Twitch. More on Streaming to Twitch

Additional Notes:

  • RTMP Destination can also be added when editing a broadcast

  • You can edit the RTMP destination (Single-Use or Multi-Use) at any point (e.g. if you regenerated your stream key). Changing the Destination information will affects any current or upcoming broadcasts using that destination.
